Week 19 Zone Training and Flu Bug!

Sorry for the short email this week. I am doing good and I am feeling much better. I was super sick for a few days. :( This week was pretty good other than being sick we door knocked a lot and had a couple of really good lessons. We enjoyed the Zone Training where we watched a world wide broadcast about the change the church is doing with missionary work. It makes us have a lot more agency for our daily schedules and we only have four key indicators which is what we report on to Salt Lake each week. Well love you all lots. Hope you are all doing well!

Week 18 ASK!

This week was pretty good. On Saturday it got to 61 degrees outside and we LOVED every minute of it. I was with the Campus Sisters all day cause Sister Vera went to the temple with the K1 sisters. We had so much fun in the sun. :)
We started teaching a members girlfriend and she is super awesome. We were a little worried at first that she was only meeting with us for him but she totally wants to learn for herself. And she knows that she needs to be doing this for herself and not for him. She is super cool! She blocked off the whole month of February so she could come to church with us. And she is fostering her sisters kids a 7 year old a 2 year old and a 5 month old. So she is super busy. But still makes time to meet with us. :) We also have been teaching a 64 year old man

named David who didn't seem all that interested until this week. When he told us that he had been praying to God and God told him that we had the truth and that he needed to come to church. We were shocked it was nothing we did to change his mind. Just the fact that he prayed and asked God and God told him what to do. He even stood up in Priesthood and told everyone that he was going to be a regular here. It was so awesome. :) It's crazy to me how many people are scared to read the Book of Mormon they won't even give it a try. It's so sad! Satan sure knows how to get to people. David one of our investigators told us as soon as he started meeting with us that all of his friends came and told him he shouldn't be meeting with us. But he said that he decided to keep meeting with us and to ask God what he should do. And now he is on track to be Baptized. :) So always ask God questions you have. Questions are good and I know that he will answer us! Love you all!

WEEK 17 Follow the promptings you receive!

This week was Awesome we saw lots of miracles! We had a lesson with Abigale and her kids. It went really well and they are so excited to get Baptized on the 28th of January. They have been coming to church since September and love it. We are so excited for them to get Baptized! On Saturday we were driving in Vicksburg to go door knocking and visit a few referrals. And I drove past a street that was kind of tucked back in there. And I felt like we needed to go to that street. But I kept driving cause I was like I don't know how to get back in there. But another prompting came so I was like okay we are going back to find our how to get on that street. So we got on the street and door knocked a few houses. When we door knocked into a lady who invited us in and said she wanted to learn more. We ended up teaching her the Restoration and the spirit was so strong she ended up crying and telling us she thinks it is true. So we set up a return appointment this week and are so excited to go and teach her more! :) The Gospel is true! Always follow the promptings you receive!  I was reading the Book of Mormon today and learned that we are able to receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost because of Jesus Christ! 3 Nephi 28:11 Which I never realized,  but how awesome is that! We need to use the gift of the Holy Ghost more in our daily lives. Because it truly is a gift! :) Hope you all are doing well! Love you all lots!!!

Week 16 Lake Michigan and New Companion

This week was one of the longest yet. We went to Saint Joe and saw the Light house. Then we went and got frozen yogurt with the Elders. And then played Wacky six at the church. It was so much fun! :) We had transfers so we went to the church at 8:30 in the morning and Sister Merriman got on the transfer van. So I got to go with the STLs for the day. Which was fun. Monday night we went and picked up our new comps, then me and Sister Vera (my new comp) went to Pizza Hut for dinner. We had Loaves and Fishes this week taught a couple lessons, got our car fixed, and played bingo at the nursing home.
