Week 23 Mosquitoes Already

This week was good we had some great lessons with Rachael and Abigale. I got sick and had to go to the doctor. But they said I only had some virus and needed to go home and sleep. Which helped a lot cause now I am feeling much better. We went door knocking in Vicksburg and got attacked by mosquitoes. It's nice when it's warm but that means lots of bugs. :( So I don't know what's better the cold or lots of bugs? haha Me and Sister Vera got our hair cut, mine is pretty short but I love it. We went to loaves and fishes this week. We were also going to go to the nursing home and paint nails but everyone was sick at the nursing home so they had to shut down all activities for the day. :( They also shut down all of Kalamazoo schools because they had 19 hundred absences one day. Just because everyone was sick. But that meant everyone was home when we went door knocking. :) haha Church yesterday was empty because of sickness so that was a little sad. Hopefully everyone is getting better and we don't get sick again. Anyways love you all and hope you have a great week! Hope you enjoy all of the pics

Week 22 Moving Apartments

This week was pretty fun. We packed a lot, went bus finding, and walked a ton. On Valentine's day we had a lesson with one of our investigators. It went really well we put him on date for March 11th. He then gave us each a heart shaped box with chocolates in it.  We decided to let the Elders start teaching him.  We moved apartments this week. And that was probably the fastest move I have ever been a part of. 8 elders showed up and within 2 hours we were completely moved out of our apartment and into our new one. We had a couple lessons with Rachael this week she is super awesome and we just love teaching her. She brought her 3 foster kids to church yesterday and they just loved it. She also came to a baptism with us on Saturday and she thought it was super neat. We had to drop Abigale this week cause she isn't keeping her commitments and she keeps not showing up to the lessons we schedule with her.  It was a super sad lesson probably one of the saddest I have ever had. :( This week we also were going to go door knocking after we had dinner at El Gallo Blanco so we were walking but Sister Vera felt like we needed to go a different way to get there, so we did. And while we were on our way there we passed a less actives house  and she was outside with her dog. We had been trying to get a hold of her for weeks. So we stopped by and introduced ourselves and she invited us in and we talked with her for a while. We then invited her to dinner with us cause Sister Blanco said we could invite whoever we wanted. She came with us and loved it! So that was super awesome now we are going to meet with her this week.  We went back for lunch a couple days later cause they have super good tacos. :)  It's really funny though cause all of her employees are scared of us cause they associate us with her. So they messed up my to go order and it took forever.  They gave me a free piece of tres leches cake. Which is so good. :) Anyways this week was good! The Lord loves each and every one of us & is always there for us. Love you all! Have a great week!

Week 21 A Good Week

This week was a really good week. On Tuesday we drove to Grandville and Sister Vera had surgery on her lip. Then we came home and she slept for the rest of the day. She is feeling lots better now though. That night we went to Rachael's house and had a really great lesson with her. We had previously asked her to pray about a Baptismal date. When we got to her house she was so excited to tell us that she had prayed and received an answer for the 25th of March. So we are super excited for that.  Also Abigail and her kids are moving into there house today so hopefully we can meet with them,  & get them on a baptismal date. :) Wednesday we had District Mtg.  The zone leaders came so it was lots of fun. Then we went to Blaze pizza for lunch which was super good. Thursday we door knocked lots. Friday we went to Loaves and Fishes and had a couple lessons.  We went to the nursing home and helped paint nails for the ladies there :) Today we are going grocery shopping and then going to a museum downtown with the STLs and K1 sisters. :) Well I hope you all are doing well. Have a great week! Love you all!

WEEK 20 3 transfers down and 10 to go!

This week was a really good one! We had a couple of really great lessons with our investigators. One of them Rachael is one of our members girlfriends. She is in her 30's and has totally been guided to the church. The stories she tells us are crazy. Right now she is fostering her 2 nephews and 1 niece ages 7, 2, and 5 months. She told us that she and her sister's family were living with her in Three Rivers. They had been living together for a while and she just felt she needed to leave. Her Sister and her sisters husband have all of these mental problems and it was just draining on her. So she followed the prompting she had and found an apartment with a 3 month lease. And moved into it. 6 weeks later the kids were pulled by CPS from the parents. And if she would have been living with them still she wouldn't have been able to take the kids. And they would have gone into the system. Her taking the kids also led her to moving up to Portage which led her to be able to come to church with her boyfriend which led her to taking the missionary discussions. We met with her on Wednesday and she had come to church the week before and then had to teach a class in her church so she went to her church and she told us that after coming to our church her church didn't feel right anymore. She felt at home at our church. It was so awesome though, we are so excited for her. We met with her again yesterday after church and she told us she was bawling all through fast and testimony meeting. She also told us she knows the church is true she is just having a hard time letting go of the kids at her old church. She taught the Kindergarten aged kids and really misses them. So we are going to fast for her on Thursday and hopefully will be able to help her. We also got Abigale and her kids to church yesterday which was the first time in a couple weeks just cause they have been so busy moving and living in the shelter. So that was really good they still want to be Baptized we are just waiting for them to move into their house. Anyways I am doing pretty good. And am loving being a missionary. :) Love and miss you all!
