Hey everyone! This week was so awesome!!!
We picked up a new investigator named Deanna we had a super spirit filled lesson with her about the restoration. When we got to Joseph Smiths first vision she had tears in her eyes. It was so cool, the spirit was so strong!
We also got stuck in the snow on the side of the road. This older lady stopped with a shovel and then a guy with a truck and a trailer also stopped and towed us out. They were super nice and helpful. After that I was like we are calling and getting an equinox cause I am sick of getting stuck. We get so much snow here and that was our second time getting stuck in 3 days. So we traded cars with the Elders in Kalamazoo. :)
We also had Zone Conference this week it was on the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through the prophet Joseph Smith. It was so good! I got to bear my departing testimony since it was my last Zone Conference.
We found a less active last week who is 85 and lives in a nursing home. She has dementia really bad and doesn't know how she got to Michigan. She hates the snow here and told us the other day " The only thing they can see in Michigan is the snow!" She showed us all these pictures of her giving people blessings so we think she might be RLDS or something.
We also went to the Carousel this week everyone there is so sad that I am leaving! I am so sad too!
Also as many of you know I have served in St. Joe for a while now. And have finally in the past 2 weeks seen the hard work of me and my companions pay off. One of the members we have been working to get to the temple ever since I got here is going in a couple weeks and just got her temple recommend. The members are finally getting excited about missionary work and are finding people for us and the Elders to teach! The ward is also working to get less actives to church and find out where they went. Joe is getting his patriarchal blessing which we have also been working on since I got here. It has been so cool to see the change in the ward! I am so grateful that I am still here to see that change in them!
Anyways I know the gospel is true and that it is the only thing that can bring us lasting happiness! I know that God created families and that we can be with our families forever if we live worthily!
I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had to serve the Lord. And I am grateful for all of the success I have seen. And the blessings that have come from doing so!
I love yalls! See you soon!
