Week 27 Transfer Calls and Lamb of God

This week was pretty good! I was super sick all week so we didn't get much work done. But I am feeling better. But we worked lots yesterday and it was fun. We also had our transfer calls yesterday I am staying in Kalamazoo and Sister Knight is my new companion. I am really excited about that, she is super sweet. It was in the 70's yesterday so we were dying of heat. I think I got a little sunburned.  We also went to the Lamb of God which is this really awesome performance put on by members of 50 different churches. And it tells of the last week of Jesus's life through singing and orchestra. The lady that directs it and brought it to Kalamazoo is Mormon. So she gave all of the missionaries free tickets. It was weird because we couldn't wear our tags because they didn't want everyone thinking we were there to proselyte. But there were a ton of missionaries there it was so fun but so weird to see everyone without tags on. President and Sister Jacobsen were there so it was good to see them. The performance was so beautiful though I really enjoyed it. One of the members in our ward was one of the main singers and she did so good. She has an amazing voice. Also Rachael is getting baptized today and I am so excited for her. She is truly converted to the Gospel. We had a lesson with her and she bore her testimony to us and the spirit was so strong. She also told us that her first fast and testimony meeting was where she really knew the church was true. So don't be scared to bear your testimony. Because you never know who needs to hear it. And who it might help! :) Love you all enjoy conference this week!

Week 26 6 Months Down!

This week was really great! We had a zone conference in Grand Rapids and that was super neat. I learned a ton. After that we had a Relief Society Birthday Party that me and Sister Vera sang in. So that was really fun! We also had some great lessons with Rachael this week. She is so awesome she truly has been converted to the Gospel. And I am so excited about her baptism on Saturday! :) Me and Sister Vera are going to try to sing at it! :) We also are going to Lamb of God this week it is a musical put on by over 50 different congregations in the Kalamazoo and Portage areas. It is about the last week of Christ's life told by soloists and instrumentalists. So we are super excited about that. A lady in the first ward brought it to Kalamazoo and now it is the only thing people talk about. Half of our ward is in it so we are super excited to go and see it. Transfers are next week so I am excited to see who my new companion is! Or if I will get transferred I don't think I will but you never know! I hope not because I will really miss Kalamazoo 2. Anyways Love you all! Hope you have a great week!

Week 24 Teaching and Coats again!

This week was a really good one we went to Loaves and Fishes and helped out there. We had a lot of really good lessons. And we picked up a new investigator named David. We are teaching his sister in law and he wants to learn more too, so that was really cool. We also had a really great lesson with Abigale and her kids and got them back on track to be baptized in a couple weeks. So that was great. We did a lot of door knocking this week and found some really cool people to teach so that was awesome. Well I hope you all have a great week. Love you all!

Week 23 Mosquitoes Already

This week was good we had some great lessons with Rachael and Abigale. I got sick and had to go to the doctor. But they said I only had some virus and needed to go home and sleep. Which helped a lot cause now I am feeling much better. We went door knocking in Vicksburg and got attacked by mosquitoes. It's nice when it's warm but that means lots of bugs. :( So I don't know what's better the cold or lots of bugs? haha Me and Sister Vera got our hair cut, mine is pretty short but I love it. We went to loaves and fishes this week. We were also going to go to the nursing home and paint nails but everyone was sick at the nursing home so they had to shut down all activities for the day. :( They also shut down all of Kalamazoo schools because they had 19 hundred absences one day. Just because everyone was sick. But that meant everyone was home when we went door knocking. :) haha Church yesterday was empty because of sickness so that was a little sad. Hopefully everyone is getting better and we don't get sick again. Anyways love you all and hope you have a great week! Hope you enjoy all of the pics

Week 22 Moving Apartments

This week was pretty fun. We packed a lot, went bus finding, and walked a ton. On Valentine's day we had a lesson with one of our investigators. It went really well we put him on date for March 11th. He then gave us each a heart shaped box with chocolates in it.  We decided to let the Elders start teaching him.  We moved apartments this week. And that was probably the fastest move I have ever been a part of. 8 elders showed up and within 2 hours we were completely moved out of our apartment and into our new one. We had a couple lessons with Rachael this week she is super awesome and we just love teaching her. She brought her 3 foster kids to church yesterday and they just loved it. She also came to a baptism with us on Saturday and she thought it was super neat. We had to drop Abigale this week cause she isn't keeping her commitments and she keeps not showing up to the lessons we schedule with her.  It was a super sad lesson probably one of the saddest I have ever had. :( This week we also were going to go door knocking after we had dinner at El Gallo Blanco so we were walking but Sister Vera felt like we needed to go a different way to get there, so we did. And while we were on our way there we passed a less actives house  and she was outside with her dog. We had been trying to get a hold of her for weeks. So we stopped by and introduced ourselves and she invited us in and we talked with her for a while. We then invited her to dinner with us cause Sister Blanco said we could invite whoever we wanted. She came with us and loved it! So that was super awesome now we are going to meet with her this week.  We went back for lunch a couple days later cause they have super good tacos. :)  It's really funny though cause all of her employees are scared of us cause they associate us with her. So they messed up my to go order and it took forever.  They gave me a free piece of tres leches cake. Which is so good. :) Anyways this week was good! The Lord loves each and every one of us & is always there for us. Love you all! Have a great week!

Week 21 A Good Week

This week was a really good week. On Tuesday we drove to Grandville and Sister Vera had surgery on her lip. Then we came home and she slept for the rest of the day. She is feeling lots better now though. That night we went to Rachael's house and had a really great lesson with her. We had previously asked her to pray about a Baptismal date. When we got to her house she was so excited to tell us that she had prayed and received an answer for the 25th of March. So we are super excited for that.  Also Abigail and her kids are moving into there house today so hopefully we can meet with them,  & get them on a baptismal date. :) Wednesday we had District Mtg.  The zone leaders came so it was lots of fun. Then we went to Blaze pizza for lunch which was super good. Thursday we door knocked lots. Friday we went to Loaves and Fishes and had a couple lessons.  We went to the nursing home and helped paint nails for the ladies there :) Today we are going grocery shopping and then going to a museum downtown with the STLs and K1 sisters. :) Well I hope you all are doing well. Have a great week! Love you all!
